Beginning in January 2020, subscribers to Disability Direct Response will have access to the Policy and Procedure Toolkit, to assess their institution’s compliance status. The Toolkit contains a compilation of the key components for compliant disability-based policy and procedures in key compliance area (e.g., documentation, accommodation, housing and dining, program access, grievance/complaint procedures).

  • Use the checklists to determine how your policies and procedures compares to what OCR has identified as necessary and/or acceptable;
  • Adopt the key action steps that each process or procedure must incorporate;
  • Review listed compliance mistakes to avoid common compliance errors.
